We’ve had all three of our sons take lessons at Lehi School of Music over the years, including violin, piano, and percussion. Overall, we’ve had a good experience and appreciate the variety of instruments and teachers they offer.
Like most parents, we found that our kids’ enjoyment of lessons depended a lot on the connection they had with their individual teacher. When they really clicked with a teacher, they enjoyed lessons much more and were more motivated to practice and improve.
One thing I was disappointed by was having to pay an additional fee for our kids to participate in a recital. I feel that performing in a recital can be such a meaningful part of music education and an important opportunity for kids to build confidence and develop as musicians. Requiring an extra payment may discourage some families from participating. I would love to see recitals included as part of the lesson experience, or at least made available to every student regardless of whether parents can afford an additional fee.
Overall, we appreciate the experiences our boys have had at Lehi School of Music and the teachers who have helped them learn and grow musically.

I’ve been coming here since last August, and I have absolutely loved my experience! Mr. Jackson is incredible on the drums and has such an impressive musical background. He makes every lesson not only fun and engaging, but also educational and truly rewarding. I’ve learned so much from him!
Ms. Kara, the school’s Director, is also amazing! She is always so helpful and accommodating when it comes to scheduling, and she makes everything so easy.

To be completely honest, when I first heard there was a new director at the Lehi School of Mysic, I had a moment of "Oh no, how could anyone possibly top awesome Shawn?! I couldn’t possibly think of a way Shawn could’ve been a better director! " But wow, Kara has been an absolute breath of fresh air! From the moment she walk in, her energy is just infectious. She's makes it her goal to always be there with a warm welcome and a friendly word for everyone, which truly makes such a difference and creates such a welcoming atmosphere.
Speaking of positive developments, I really appreciate the thoughtful adjustments Lehi School of Music has been making. I know the complimentary beverages were a lovely touch, and we certainly enjoyed them! However, I have to confess, I've seen my fair share of "creative" drink mixing and accidental spills – especially with little ones around, and sometimes without proper supervision. It definitely led to some sticky situations! So, I totally get why that change was necessary, and honestly, it makes perfect sense to simplify things and keep the environment clean and focused on music.
And on a practical note, the scheduling flexibility here is an absolute lifesaver for our family. With all of our kids' sports and activities, it's such a relief to know that Lehi School of Music genuinely works *with* us to find lesson times that fit our chaotic schedule. It takes so much stress off our plate, and we're so grateful for that understanding.
Most importantly, my children absolutely adore coming here! Miss Kara makes them feel so special by greeting them by name every single time, and it truly brightens their day. They genuinely love her, and honestly, the entire staff has been wonderful. We're just thrilled to be a part of such a fantastic community!

We absolutely love this music school! My nephew takes drum lessons here, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The instructors are talented, patient, and truly know how to make learning music fun and exciting.

I was asked to play the organ for my church congregation, and so I immediately started looking for a teacher close to me. I chose Lehi School of Music and was not disappointed. Elann helped me further develop my piano skills and transfer those to playing the organ. He was super kind and encouraging, and his lessons were flexible with my busy schedule. I could tell that he was quite knowledgeable about music theory, and he filled in the gaps in my own knowledge while also helping me play more confidently. I only took piano lessons, but I am sure the Lehi School of Music will be able to provide lessons for a multitude of instruments. And if I ever decide to pick up another instrument, I'll look to them first.

Incredible music school! Julia is amazing Cello instructor and Owen is the man and does so well teaching piano.
Love the staff, super chill and accommodating with schedules. Our kids did their first recital after practicing for 4 months(cello annd piano) and it has changed their lives. Proud parent and so grateful for this music school.

Melody is a fantastic guitar teacher. She brings such a positive energy to every lesson. I’ve learned so much in a short amount of time. She recently helped me navigate the entire fretboard.
